ATOMIC - Friday night at The Cookie Club is Retro night featuring two decades of music. In the downstairs room we have the 80's and in the upstairs room it is the 90's.

Starting with ATOMIC downstairs, DJ's Dik & Nige bring you an 80's night that offers something a little different to the usual standard 80's club night. Okay you still get your Duran Duran, A-Ha, Michael Jackson, Prince etc, but the bulk of music on offer downstairs you might say tends to come from the more credible side of the 80's. On this night we tend to play music from the likes of The Jam, Cure, Smiths, New Order, Blondie, Madness, Specials, Dexy's, Rem, U2,Talking Heads,The Police, The Clash, Human League, Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, Adam & The Ants, Housemartins, B-52's, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith. We also play some of the best tracks from the 70's including the likes of the Sex Pistols, Undertones, Ramones, Stranglers, Buzzcocks, T-Rex, Bowie, Iggy Pop etc. There's something in there for everybody whether you are just into the pop side of the 80's or are up for a bit of New Romantic action. The innovative bands of the genre always feature strongly along with a good dose of Ska and Punk Classics. You can see playlists for this night on the DJ's on site at www.myspace.com/nnpdjs.

SABOTAGE - On the first floor we have the sounds of the 90's. You get a wide range of music from the decade, anything from the early 90's Manchester vibe through to Brit-Pop and some of the more Alternative Dance music from the decade as well as smattering of 90's pop classics. DJ Roy 'Mutley' Mullin mixes in the likes of Stone Roses, Primal Scream, Charlatans, Happy Mondays, The Farm alongside the more dancier elements of the genre including Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Leftfield, N-Trance, Snap etc. You get a great segment of Indie sounds from the usual suspects such as Oasis, Pulp, Suede, Blur, The Verve, Ocean Colour Scene, Beastie Boys etc. The 90's of course were great for alot of one off hits, remember 'Jump Around', 'Two Princes', Groove Is In The Heart' and 'Brimful Of Asha'. Friday nights at the Cookie are all about fun and having a great night out in a friendly atmosphere.
